Hi! I see alot of people are renting bikes to explore Vinales and I am thinking of renting one for the entire week I am there. Should I reserve in advance? I found this place called Rocinate... Also, do I need to bring my own lock? I can't just leave the bike there if I am going in caves, restaurants, etc. Thanks! ME

Renting a bike is a great idea. The roads are rugged in a lot of places (dirt) and very narrow. It would be a great way to get around. Concerning a lock. I did not see any bike racks to lock a bike to. Also, the crime rate is very, very low in Cuba. When you get there, ask the rental place what they think. The Cuban people I encountered from the city to the country were honest, forthcoming and refreshingly open. It was such an amazing surprise. One additional tip, at night there is dancing in the main square nightly all ages come out and dance it is awesome. Limitations of internet usage and lack of money opens the doors to natural fun and creativity. I hope you get to see some art and dance while you are there. Have fun. I definitely plan to go back.
Q:
How do I book the sunrise hike? I don't see an option for booking. Thank you Laura
