Emmys had its worst showing for actors of color seen in the last 5 years, despite historic nominations for Selena Gomez, Quinta Brunson and more.

Emmy Award nominations include some historic diversity milestones, but are the lowest for POC talent in the past five years.

Twenty-eight actors and reality hosts from diverse backgrounds were recognized by the Television Academy with Emmy nominations today, not only an 18% drop from last year’s 34 but a near low since 2019 when there were 26 non-Caucasian actors and hosts.
