The injury bug has already struck the Miami Dolphins just one day into the team's training camp. The more severe incident involved offensive tackle Bayron Matos, who was airlifted to a local medical center after suffering an injury near the end of the Dolphins' first practice session.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said offensive lineman Bayron Matos, who was injured late in Wednesday’s practice and airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center with an unspecified injury, continues to improve.
According to a report from ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have lost veteran cornerback Artie Burns for the season due to a torn ACL. "An MRI confirmed an ACL tear for Dolphins CB Artie Burns, who now is expected to miss the 2025 season, per source," Schefter wrote on X.
Brooks (wrist) participated in Friday's practice, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins ' official site reports.
