Jamie White, 36, was fatally shot in a parking lot in Austin, Texas, police said. Alex Jones said the killing "could've been a hit."

A writer for Alex Jones’ right-wing conspiracy website Infowars was killed near his Austin home late Sunday, Jones announced on a Monday broadcast. Jones said writer Jamie White, 36, was "brutally murdered" outside of a southeast Austin apartment complex Sunday night.

On his show Monday, Jones said the staff member, 36-year-old Jamie White, was “brutally murdered” outside his home, a few miles from the Infowars office. Austin police later confirmed White was shot and killed outside the Chandelier Apartments.
