All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte of the Arizona Diamondbacks was scratched from the starting lineup Monday night at San Diego due to right groin tightness.

The Arizona Diamondbacks made a quick announcement on All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte just minutes before their game against their division rival, the San Diego Padres.

The Diamondbacks will not have the services of Ketel Marte in Monday night's series opener on the road against the Padres.
