Two cats are dead after a fire at a home in Battle Creek early Saturday morning, the Battle Creek Fire Department (BCFD) said. Around 4:30 a.m., crews arrived at a two-story home on Capital Avenue NE to find fire coming from the front porch and quickly expanding into the second floor and eaves of the home.
