Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the leaders of Britain, France and Canada of opting to side with the "mass murderers, rapists, baby killers and kidnappers" in Hamas over Israel.

Netanyahu was speaking after Thursday's deadly attack on Israeli embassy staff in Washington. Days earlier, the UK, France and Canada had condemned Israel's expanded offensive in Gaza as "disproportionate" and described the humanitarian situation as "intolerable".

Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Sir Keir Starmer of “emboldening Hamas”, after the British Prime Minister joined the leaders of France and Canada in calling for a halt to Israel’s military offensive and an end to restrictions on humanitarian aid.
