Following the victory, Bueckers was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player Honors, and she made history when she accepted the trophy as confetti dropped from the ceiling.

Paige Bueckers scored 24 points and Azzi Fudd added 13 to help No. 3 UConn beat 22nd-ranked Creighton 70-50 to win the Big East championship.

As expected, Bueckers added another Big East Player of the Year trophy to her collection. She has now won the award in back-to-back seasons and three times overall, which is tied for the most in league history. Bueckers averaged 18.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, five assists and 2.1 steals on 53.4% shooting from the field.
