Mastodon paid tribute to co-founder and former guitarist Brent Hinds at their first performance following his death on Wednesday.

Earlier today, surviving guitarist Bill Kelliher shared a tribute to his fallen brother on Instagram. In what must have been a difficult post to make, he shared his raw feelings about the situation, lamenting the loss of someone he saw countless successes and failures with over the years.

Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds has died at 51 after being involved in a motorcycle crash. The musician was part of the Grammy-winning heavy metal band for 25 years.
