The Utah State women’s volleyball team is set to forfeit its match against San Jose State in what appears to be a protest of NCAA rules allowing transgender women to play.

Three collegiate women’s volleyball teams have forfeited games against San Jose State University, which has a trans-identifying male, Blaire Fleming, on its roster. The University of Wyoming announced in a statement Tuesday that the women’s team will forfeit its upcoming Saturday game.

San Jose State University officials said via an emailed statement, that the school is in-line with Mountain West and NCAA rules relating to the participation of a reportedly trans athlete on the school's women's volleyball team.
