The Detroit Tigers beat the Cleveland Guardians 5-0 on Sunday afternoon behind a dominant outing from reigning American League Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. Sk

The only thing that stood between the Guardians being no-hit by left-hander Tarik Skubal on Sunday were hits by Will Wilson and José Ramírez. It was Wilson who broke Skubal’s spell with a leadoff double in the sixth after 15 Guardians had been put down in order.

The Cleveland Guardians didn't make it easy on themselves, but they've officially clinched a series victory against the Detroit Tigers with their 7-5 win on Saturday night. Trouble started for the Guardians immediately in the first inning when Luis Ortiz gave up three runs before Cleveland's clean-up hitter had a chance at the plate.

Last year Fry, playing all over the diamond, hit .263 (88 for 335) with 18 doubles, 14 homers and 51 RBI. In the postseason, he hit .286 (8 for 28) with two homers and eight RBI against the Tigers and the Yankees. Outfielder Chase DeLauter was just promoted to Columbus after recovering from sports hernia surgery in March.
