The U.S. Coast Guard offloaded a record 61,740 pounds of cocaine and 14,400 pounds of marijuana in what officials called the largest drug seizure in its history.

The cocaine and marijuana seized had a street value of nearly half a billion dollars. It was the largest single offloading of drugs in Coast Guard history.

MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA)— The U.S. Coast Guard is speaking about the largest cocaine offload in Coast Guard history. The Coast Guard, with partner agencies, offloaded more than 76,140 pounds of illegal narcotics at Port Everglades.
