As CVS Health lays off more than 400 positions connected to its offices in Hartford, state officials have several initiatives to support the insurance industry.

CVS Health announced on Monday that it plans to lay off over 400 employees associated with its Hartford facility. The layoffs are scheduled for December. Aetna, the company’s parent company, announced in a statement that 416 workers will be laid off: 93 on-site workers and 323 remote workers.

The terminations will be happening during a 14-day period starting Dec. 8, CVS Health officials wrote in the notice.
