The Detroit Police Department is investigating after a man's body was found in a field on Monday. Police say the body was discovered in the 19000 block of Fleming Street, near Seven Mile Road. DPD confirmed that the man was in his 20s. His name has not been released.

A new rule requires police to release any relevant video or audio from an incident if it resulted in someone suffering great bodily harm.

The ordinance comes as the department faces questions over what an expert said was altered body camera footage from a Sept. 18 shooting.

A Detroit police officer is facing suspension without pay after Chief Todd Bettison said on Monday that the officer committed multiple policy violations during a traffic stop that led to a woman being shot over the weekend.

It happened at a McDonalds in the 6800 block of Michigan Avenue when a girl went to the restroom. Minutes later, he went in and allegedly touched the girl inappropriately.
