Forever 21 — the department store at Fresno’s Fashion Fair mall that took over the former Gottschalks location — is closing. A manager confirmed the store is closing but said it did not have a closing date. A worker was still hanging up the “Everything must go” signs Tuesday. The Visalia Mall store will remain open, according to an employee.

There will soon be a large vacancy at Fashion Fair Mall in northeast Fresno as Forever 21 prepares to leave the space once occupied by Gottschalks.
