Infosys , India's No.2 IT services exporter, beat second-quarter revenue estimates on Thursday, helped by a recovery in demand from its key financial industry clients.

Infosys Q2 Results Live : Infosys declared their Q2 results on 17 Oct, 2024, revealing a topline increase of 5.11% year-over-year, with profit rising by 4.73%. Compared to the previous quarter, revenue grew by 4.25%, while profit saw a modest increase of 2.17%.

Infosys, India's second-largest software exporter, reported a 5% growth in consolidated net profit to Rs 6,506 crore for Q2, with revenue from operations rising by 5% YoY to Rs 40,986 crore. The company revised its FY25 revenue growth guidance to 3.

Infosys shares in Friday's trade will gain traction after the company posted largely mixed results with steady margins.

Infosys Ltd on Thursday (October 17) reported a 4.7% rise in the September quarter net profit and raised revenue guidance after broad-based growth.

Infosys posted revenue from operations at Rs 40,986 crore, up 5.1 per cent as against Rs 38,994 crore recorded during the same period of previous financial year.

Infosys saw a 3% year-on-year revenue growth in the BFSI sector for the September quarter, with guidance increased for the third consecutive quarter.

Infosys has posted a 2.2% sequential rise in its net profit for the second quarter of FY25 at ₹6,506 crore. However, the number was below market expectations. The company's revenue for the July-September quarter also witnessed a strong 4.

Infosys reported a slight miss on its Q2 net profit and revenue, yet it still raised its FY25 revenue growth guidance, a decision that ignited optimism among brokerages.

Infosys is seeing a “lot of traction in financial services, which has given us good growth last quarter and this quarter,” said chief executive officer Salil Parekh. “We see that continuing.”
