World Golf Hall of Fame member Lanny Wadkins is winding down his 13th season of serving as the lead analyst for Golf Channel’s coverage of PGA Tour Champions this week at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club in Phoenix.

Almost a year to the day his time with NBC Sports ended, Paul Azinger is returning to the broadcasting booth. Azinger, 64, is replacing Champions tour lead Lanny Wadkins, who announced his retirement last week. When Azinger is off, Peter Jacobsen and John Cook will split time as the lead analysts, Golfweek reported. Cook will still do his on-course reporting when he’s not in the lead chair.
