A major championship is as good of a time as any to make your first LPGA Tour hole in one. Leona Maguire aced the second hole at the Amundi Evian Championship during the first round of the major. The hole-in-one helped her along to a six-under 65 and a tie for the clubhouse lead.

Leona Maguire will move forward to next month’s AIG Women’s Open with an added pep in her step after the 30-year-old Cavan player secured a tied-seventh finish in the Amundi Evian Championship, where Australian Grace Kim defeated Thailand’s Jeeno Thitikul in a playoff.

Maguire actually holds a share of the 18-hole course record at the Amundi Evian after carding a scorching 61 in 2021.
