The Michigan State women's basketball team had its comeback efforts come up just short while suffering an 85-80 setback to Nebraska on Wednesday night.

After starting their season with the best start in program history, the Michigan State women’s basketball hit some stumbling blocks with two straight losses to Alabama and Maryland. The Spartans bounced back last week with a win over Purdue, which led to them moving back up one spot in the AP poll on Monday up to No. 20.

Nebraska Women’s Basketball (12-4, 3-2) upset No. 20 Michigan State (12-3, 2-2) 85-80 despite being down 10-0 to start the game. The Huskers put together a 15-0 run in the second quarter to take a 39-26 lead which they never relinquished.
