Two men are dead, one woman is hurt and no arrests have been made following separate "targeted" shootings late Thursday and early Friday in Minneapolis, according to police.

Shootings in two locations in Minneapolis several hours apart left two people dead and another wounded, officials said Friday. The first killing occurred about 8:50 p.m. Thursday in the 2400 block of 18th Avenue S.

As of this publishing, police say they don't believe the shootings are related to each other, and no one has been arrested in either incident.

Then around 2 a.m. Friday, one man died and a woman was injured in a separate shooting near the intersection of Thomas Avenue and North 26th Avenue. The Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) is investigating both incidents and it is unclear if they are connected.

One person is injured and two are in custody after a shooting in Minneapolis ’ Seward neighborhood Saturday afternoon. According to the Minneapolis Police Department, officers responded to a shooting near 22nd Avenue South and Franklin Avenue just after 12:30 p.m.

A judge has sentenced Antonio Deshawn Timberlake to 44.5 years in prison for a shooting in 2024 that killed Pierre Romel Miller and injured three others. Timberlake was one of four people charged in the crime.
