An awful fourth quarter nearly erased an otherwise solid performance but Minnesota managed to escape with a win.

Fox’s 60 points breaks a franchise record that was previously held by Jack Twyman, who scored 59 on Jan. 15, 1960, against the Minneapolis Lakers. Unlike Fox, Twyman came out on the winning end for the team then known as the Cincinnati Royals.

De’Aaron Fox was an unstoppable force — he erupted for 60 points Friday night, a personal and Sacramento Kings franchise record. He was clutch in doing it, scoring 26 of those points in the final 17 minutes of the game.

On Friday night, the Kings start their NBA Cup journey at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves in their first Group Play matchup. The Kings and Wolves have already faced off for Sacramento's season opener, where the Wolves escaped with a two-point win.

Many teams will be kicking off their NBA Cup group stage games on Friday night, one of which is the Sacramento Kings. With De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, the Kings were already one of the better offensive teams in the league.
