It didn’t take long for Javon Small to put pen to paper for the first time in the NBA. The Memphis Grizzlies announced on Thursday that the team signed Small to a two-way contract. The terms of the deal were not released.

Javon Small was an All-Big 12 first-team selection last season, averaging a career-high 18.6 points, 5.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals.

With top pick Cedric Coward already signed, the Grizzlies striking a deal with the first of their two second round picks in June’s NBA draft. The team announcing that it has inked a deal, a two-way deal with Javon Small who the Grizzlies took with the 48th pick in last month’s draft.
