A New York appeals court has thrown out the half billion-dollar civil fraud judgment handed down last year against President Donald Trump, his family and his company.

A New York state appeals court overturned a fine of more than $520m that a lower court had levied on Donald Trump.

"It should not be lost to history: yet another court has ruled that the president violated the law, and that our case has merit," she added.
