The New York Yankees have placed reliever Fernando Cruz on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation, the team announced Thursday morning. Manager Aaron Boone said Cruz was dealing with “shoulder stuff” and hadn’t been available to pitch “the last couple of days” following Wednesday’s 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers at Yankee Stadium.
