Grady Jarrett is moving on from Atlanta for the first time in his 10-year career. The Falcons are releasing Jarrett, per NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported on Monday.

The Falcons are releasing Jarrett just before the official start of NFL free agency. According to Over The Cap, the team has freed up $16,250,000 in cap space while incurring a dead cap hit of $4.1 million. This move comes just hours after the team reached a two-year, $45 million extension with veteran left tackle Jake Matthews.

The Atlanta Falcons will release Pro Bowl defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, a source with knowledge of the transaction told UPI on Monday.
