Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday dismissed the RJD, led by his political adversary Lalu Prasad, by saying that his past alliances with the party were "mistakes" and that the RJD did nothing during its time in power.

While speaking to reporters in the north Bihar district of Muzaffarpur, as part of a state-wide Pragati Yatra, Nitish Kumar quashed all rumours of joining hands with his former ally RJD in Bihar.

Rajya Sabha MP and chief of RLM, Upendra Kushwaha downplayed RJD chief, Lalu Yadav’s ‘doors open for Nitish Kumar’ remarks, and claimed that “he is getting old,” and he ‘might have said something, but there is nothing important about it’.

This comes after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Yadav's "door open" remarks fuelled speculations of another political drama in Bihar. "Our doors are open for Nitish Kumar. He should also unbolt his gates.

Days after Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad said INDIA bloc is ready to welcome him in its fold, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday (January 5, 2025) said he made a mistake twice going with the RJD and will not repeat it.

PATNA: Addressing the speculation over his possible switchover again Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday said that he would remain in the NDA. "I will stay with the NDA," he told the media during his Pragati Yatra in Muzaffarpur.

Reacting to RJD supremo Lalu Yadav's statement that ‘alliance doors are always open for Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on January 05 slammed him by saying that he (Lalu Yadav) is scared.
