The Fourth Republic of Ghana's Speaker of the 9th Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, has been formally sworn in.

The Speaker of Ghana's Parliament, Alban Sumani Alban Bagbin has expressed sincere appreciation for the opportunity to remain in his role as Speaker for the 9th Parliament in the 4th Republic.

Ghana’s lawmakers have unanimously approved Alban Bagbin as Speaker of Parliament for another four years. Members from both sides of the house at their first sitting agreed to retain Bagbin, a member of the National Democratic Congress party,

Alban Bagbin will serve as the Speaker of the Ninth Parliament after being the sole nominee for the position after the dissolution of the Eighth Parliament.
