Billionaire film director Peter Jackson is known for blockbuster films, and he hopes for also helping bring back the dodo and woolly mammoth, if his eight-figure investment is any indication.

Kiwi film-maker Sir Peter Jackson has invested $10 million towards a start-up company aimed at reviving extinct animals such as the dodo bird. The original species is “dead as a dodo” as the saying goes

Jackson joins a group of celebrity investors who have now already contributed a total of $235 million to help Dallas-based Colossal Biosciences bring back the extinct creatures.
