A person with knowledge of the situation says New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil does not have a concussion and is expected to rejoin the team in Calgary.

Mollie Walker of the New York Post first reported the news on Tuesday, informing that a specialist has cleared Chytil of any concussion symptoms. The player, however, was forced to miss Tuesday's matchup while his availability for Thursday’s game against the Flames is uncertain.

New York Rangers forward Filip Chytil is close to a return after exams determined he did not sustain a concussion last week, ESPN reported Tuesday. Chytil, 25, is day-to-day with an upper-body injury and will reportedly rejoin the team ahead of Thursday's game in Calgary.
