CBS News has had some changes over the last months with CBS Saturday Morning co-host Jeff Glor among those affected by Paramount Global’s latest round of layoffs. Glor was the anchor of CBS Evening News from 2017 to 2019 and had been with the network since 2007.

Rob Marciano, who exited ABC News in May 2024 over reported “anger” issues has resurfaced at CBS News following several weeks of speculation of his hire. Marciano returned to TV during the Oct. 8, 2024, edition of the “CBS Evening News” helping with team coverage of Hurricane Milton .

It is unclear when the 56-year-old will begin his new gig. A rep for CBS News did not immediately return requests for comment on why it hired scandal-scarred Marciano.

Reports in late April said the veteran weatherman and former G MA regular had been dismissed amid complaints about his behavior. Now, according to Oliver Darcy’s Status newsletter, Marciano has been snapped up by CBS News as part of its expanding weather network.

Rob Marciano worked at KATU-TV before joining ABC News, which reportedly parted ways with the meteorologist due to what industry sources reported as "allegedly inappropriate behaviors."

Marciano was booted by ABC News back in April after multiple complaints about his behavior over the years, to the point where he was temporarily banned from the GMA set. Sources later told The Daily Beast that Marciano was fired after he went on a tirade against one of the GMA producers.
