Rob Marciano returned to television months after his ABC News exit earlier this year. Marciano has landed at CBS News as the meteorologist covering from Tampa, Florida as the state braces for Hurricane Milton to make landfall.

Rob Marciano, who exited ABC News in May 2024 over reported “anger” issues has resurfaced at CBS News following several weeks of speculation of his hire. Marciano returned to TV during the Oct. 8, 2024, edition of the “CBS Evening News” helping with team coverage of Hurricane Milton .

It is unclear when the 56-year-old will begin his new gig. A rep for CBS News did not immediately return requests for comment on why it hired scandal-scarred Marciano.

Meteorologist Rob Marciano has reportedly lined up a new TV gig six months after he was fired from Good Morning America. Marciano, 56, is slated to join CBS, according to a Monday, September 30, report in journalist Oliver Darcy's "Status" newsletter.

CBS News has reportedly hired former Good Morning America meteorologist Rob Marciano, who was reportedly fired from ABC earlier this year following a spate of “alarming events” tied to his “hot temper.

Marciano was booted by ABC News back in April after multiple complaints about his behavior over the years, to the point where he was temporarily banned from the GMA set. Sources later told The Daily Beast that Marciano was fired after he went on a tirade against one of the GMA producers.
