In a little over 90 minutes and with only 65 balls faced, Sam Konstas's debut innings in the Boxing Day Test has forced Australian cricket into a new generation, and there is no going back now.

After being presented with the Test cap by former skipper Mark Taylor, with his brothers and parents in attendance, Konstas literally sprinted out in the middle, eager to get on with the game. He requested senior partner Usman Khawaja to allow him first strike against Bumrah.

Promising 19-year-old Australian cricketer Sam Konstas is all set to make his international debut in the fourth Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). He has been confirmed as Australia's opener the youngster will partner Usman Khawaja at the top.
