Debutant Harshit Rana has grabbed three wickets and vice-captain Shubman Gill has hit 87 runs off 96 balls for India to beat England by four wickets in the first one-day international in Nagpur.

Riding on Rohit Sharma's 119, India chased down England's 304 with 33 balls to spare and four wickets in hand. India thus win the three-match series with a game to spare. It was Gautam Gambhir's first ODI series win as a head coach.

Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill brought up a century opening stand in just 81 balls and the latter has joined his captain in raising his half-century. India are chasing 305 and they are motoring along in Cuttack.
