Temba Bavuma, South Africa's Test captain, has recovered from his elbow injury in time to be available for their two-Test series at home against Sri Lanka. Bavuma will lead a 14-man side that also sees the return of Marco Jansen and Gerald Coetzee to the Test squad for the first time in 11 months.

The upcoming Test series is important for the hosts as they are searching for their maiden World Test Championship (WTC) final appearance. The Proteas have to secure victories in all four of their upcoming home Tests, including two each against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, to guarantee their spot in the WTC finale at Lord's next June.
