The Pittsburgh Steelers have elevated versatile offensive lineman John Leglue from the practice squad to the active roster for their game against the Los Angeles Chargers. That move comes after offensive tackle Troy Fautanu landed on injured reserve after leaving Friday’s practice with a knee injury.

According to the transaction wire, the Steelers have elevated cornerback James Pierre and offensive lineman John Leglue in place of him. Leglue is likely to get a helmet this week given the lack of depth the Steelers have along the offensive line.

Fautanu is the third major injury Pittsburgh has suffered on the offensive front, as center Nate Herbig is out for the year with a torn rotator cuff, while offensive guard Isaac Seumalo has yet to play this season due to a pectoral injury. Another former first-round pick in Broderick Jones is expected to replace Fautanu on the right side.

The Pittsburgh Steelers enter Week Three atop the AFC North with a 2-0 record. The Steelers will look to remain undefeated when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers in their home opener on Sunday. Quarterback Justin Fields has performed well enough to keep the team competitive since taking over for an injured Russell Wilson.
