Doom: The Dark Ages is the next major installment of the iconic shooter franchise, bringing players to the Doom Slayer's glory days in the medieval age. As a prequel to the 2016 reboot, The Dark Ages is the perfect entry point for new fans.

Pre-orders for Doom: The Dark Ages are still nowhere to be found at Walmart. But the big retailer is pretty good with making sure every big game of the year it represented, so we're betting it won't be long until the pre-order PS5 and Xbox Series X copies of the game make an appearance.

Outside of the VRAM requirements, Doom: The Dark Ages also requires a GPU with ray tracing hardware. The game will support path tracing, as well as DLSS 4, according to Nvidia’s Jacob Freeman.
