A powerful storm front spawned multiple tornadoes in the Greater Houston metro area Saturday afternoon, officials said.

Multiple tornadoes were confirmed in the Midlands during Sunday’s storms. A tornado watch was issued for most of South Carolina Sunday morning as severe thunderstorms moved across the state, and tornadoes were confirmed by the National Weather Service.

Storm survey crews with the National Weather Service surveyed damage in Alabama Monday afternoon and confirmed five tornadoes after Saturday evening’s storms.
