The Taiwanese foundry giant began volume production at its first fab in Arizona at the end of 2024, serving major US chip designers including Nvidia, Apple, and AMD.
TSMC’s global expansion also includes a second fab in Kumamoto, Japan, expected to break ground later this year, following the launch of its first plant in late 2024. In Europe, construction of a fab in Dresden, Germany, is progressing steadily, with mass production timing dependent on customer interest.
