Wimbledon officials blocked Portugal No 1 Nuno Borges’s request to wear a Portugal football shirt on to court in tribute to Diogo Jota, it has been claimed.

Portuguese tennis players Francisco Cabral and Nuno Borges were given permission to stray from Wimbledon’s strict all-white dress code to honor the late Liverpool and Portugal soccer star Diogo Jota,

Diogo Jota was remembered at Wimbledon on Friday as two Portuguese players wore a black ribbon on their all-white attire during their matches, a day after the Liverpool winger and his brother were killed in a car crash.
