Students of Canastota Jr./Sr. High School will present “The Wizard of Oz” as their spring musical.

The group acquired a number of major VFX and post-production studios including Soho-based The Mill and MPC, and its more recent blockbusters include the Harry Potter films, last year’s Mufasa: The Lion King and the upcoming Mission: Impossible instalment.

After the recent box office success of the film adaptation of “Wicked,” anyone going to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center at 6 p.m. Thursday night will get to return to the world of Oz see the original, classic story of Dorothy, Toto and their friends, this time on ice.

At the 12th Academy Awards held in 1940, The Wizard of Oz was nominated for a total of six Oscars. The categories it was up for included Best Picture, Best Original Song, Best Art
