Teenage girl killed in shark attack off south-east Queensland
A teenage girl has died after being bitten by a shark off Bribie Island, north of Brisbane. Emergency services were called to Woorim Beach on Bribie Island on Monday at about 4:45pm. It is understood the 17-year-old had been swimming about 100 metres from the shore when she was attacked and bitten on the arm and body in front of horrified onlookers.
