Cora isn’t the only one who’s in favor of signing Bregman. Alex Bregman could be headed for an Astros reunion after all. USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported Thursday that Houston is “keeping the door ajar” to potentially re-sign the star third baseman. The Athletic added that talks have resumed between the two sides.

The Astros are eager to bring Alex Bregman back to Houston and have offered him a new contract. According to the renowned New York Post columnist Jon Heyman, the Texas team’s management is ready to strike a deal with the All-Star third baseman from the MLB for $156 million over six years.
