James Cameron has shared another early reaction to Avatar 3 – and it's yet more evidence Fire and Ash will be the most emotional movie in the franchise yet. Speaking in a new interview, the director says he showed his wife Suzy Amis Cameron a version of the movie from late 2024 and she could not stop crying.

Cameron’s own wife, Suzy Amis Cameron, saw a version of the film from late last year, and – per her filmmaker husband – was completely overwhelmed with emotion. “My wife watched the whole thing from end to end — she had kept herself away from it and I wasn’t showing her bits and pieces as we went along.

James Cameron's third Avatar movie will be even longer than the second. The 70-year-old filmmaker admitted he had too many "great ideas" packed into 2022's Avatar: The Way Of Water – which clocked in at three hours and 12 minutes – but he's gone even bigger with the upcoming Avatar: Fire And Ash.
