Police has taken two suspects under custody over Baba Siddique's brutal firing. The assailants revealed that they were instructed to even shoot his son, Zeeshan Siddique.

The accused, during interrogation, disclosed that the contract was given to them to kill both Baba Siddique and his son Zeeshan.

A couple of days after NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai, police said that his MLA-son Zeeshan Siddique is also on the attackers hit-list. Zeeshan Siddique is the Congress MLA from Mumbai Suburban’s Vandre East constituency. The Mumbai Police said that the handlers of the accused had asked them to kill both the politicians.

On Saturday night, Baba Siddique was murdered outside his office in Nirmal Nagar. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

NCP leader Baba Siddique’s burial will take place at 8:30 pm on October 13 at Bada Qabrastan, Marine Lines, Mumbai, as announced by his son Zeeshan Siddique.
