SAN LEANDRO — A 6-year-old child died, and five other people were rushed to a hospital early Thursday after a fire broke out at a home, authorities said. Alameda County Fire crews were called to the 2000 block of Altamont Road near Darius Way about 5:25 a.m., according to fire spokesperson Cheryl Hurd.
