The country’s first integrated city-wide bus service is nearing to materialize with the Department of Transportation now looking for a consultant who will be tasked to oversee the project.

THE Transportation department said two Chinese companies recently submitted bids for the P73.93-billion bus system project in Davao City.

The Alexandria project is part of a national rise in bus rapid transit (BRT) systems stemming from their relatively inexpensive costs and an influx of federal money.
