Visual Studio Code extensions are written in JavaScript, as is much of Visual Studio Code. If you don’t know about the Node.js JavaScript runtime, or JavaScript itself, read up on them first.

Open Visual Studio Code and click on the CodeGPT icon from the left sidebar. Now, you need to click on the selected model, in my case, it was Claude-3.5-Sonnet.

Visual Studio Code 1.52, known as the November 2020 release, has an extension bisect feature, to troubleshoot which extensions are causing issues in the editor.
