South Carolina women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley has turned the Gamecocks into the premiere program in the country. As such, the Gamecocks have put some of the very best players into the WNBA over the last decade.

Three-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson had her South Carolina No. 22 jersey hung in the rafters at Colonial Life Arena on Sunday.

As A'ja Wilson's No. 22 jersey was retired by the Gamecocks, coach Dawn Staley made it clear that no South Carolina women's player would ever wear the number again.
