Display refresh rate questions....

Okay, so I've discovered I like the sharpness of my Sony 21" G500 at 85 Hz at 1280x960. However, I can see the scan lines now, whereas I can't at 100 Hz. At 100 Hz, text looks a tad blurrier, and since I stare at text all day I just can't stand that anymore.
