Furniture store American Freight will close its 328 stores - including one in Hagerstown - as parent company Franchise Group Inc. goes bankrupt.

All six of New York's American Freight furniture stores will be closing as a result of its parent company's Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, the company announced earlier this week. New York isn't the only state affected though as Ohio-based Franchise Group Inc.
